Ok people! Let me tell you whats wrong with this news story:

This is why homosexuals tend to hate Christians. For statements like this minister made in the aforementioned news story. This minister is wrong for his statements because it acts in DIRECT conflict with the spirit and nature of Christ. Christ directed all Christians to love your neighbors as yourself. (Matt 22:37-39; Mark 12:30-32; Luke 10:26-28; Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:13-15)

Would YOU Christians who think this way want to be discriminated against by the Gay Community for being Christian? (Matt 7:12) I highly doubt it. Such discrimination is totally contrary to the message of Christ, nor does such discrimination further the message of Christ. Love means loving unconditionally. I don't care if someone is a raging, rainbow-flying, twinky-laden, black hair, ear-gaged, homosexual. Its wrong to discriminate...its BIBLICALLY wrong to discriminate.

Well some of you critics might say, "well, what about 1st Corinthians 15:32-34, Bad company corrupts good character?"

Well I say to you, that just because someone is lost does not mean that you abandon them, reject them, or dismiss them as trash. No no no...Paul was not talking about that when he was noting this reference. Besides, the words of Christ's Love supersede anything Paul has to say, and I argue that Paul had a very specific audience here; in particular, he was talking to people who were doubting the 2nd coming of Christ.

1 Cor 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Since when does love include discriminating unjustly because someone lives a certain way.

Wake up my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and know that The Lord is Love, the way is Love via Christ, and truth is Love...and without Love, everything you do is meaningless. 1 Cor 13:1-3

Often, people also have "religious" objections to homosexuals, which is unfounded, as Christians should not fear homosexuals, but embrace them, welcome them, teach them, minister to them by example, and not by Biblical assault (beating someone over the head with a Bible). Living your day-to-day life is the most powerful witness anyone could do to perpetuate what Christianity really is: A personal daily journey which tests your mantle, challenges your views about the world, and presses you to change yourself personally at all levels.

Don't support discrimination practices. Don't practice discrimination practices. Do everything in your power to uphold Martin Luther King Jr.'s Statement

I have a dream, that men won't be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

Now, obviously this isn't about race, but sexual orientation; however, the principle is the same.

Be well.
